Trip Discription:

The Jomsom Trekking is part of the famous Annapurna Circuit and also the half why scenic trekking route, With its natural beauty, high Himalayan apple gardens, distilleries and the deepest gorge in the world(Dana), you experience some spectacular scenery. Jomsom trekking is situated north of the Pokhara valley and there are os many options to get tehre now because of the road and new treking rutes, One of the most significant features of this trek is that you can do it throughout the year. This is an easy way to access into Himalayas within a reasonable timeframe and without ascending to extreme altitude and getting AMS.

Jomsom Trekking starts in Pokhara visiting Poon Hill and Ghorepani or you can go there directly throgh beni by bus to tato pani and walk up to Jomsom Muktinath through beutiful thakali(ethnicit) village, Jomsom trekking is a famous short trek in Nepal as it is Beautiful and safe. The summit of Poon Hill is an amazing place to see sunrise and sunset with panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trek continues to the natural hot springs (Tatopani) next to the Kali Gandaki river. Here trekkers can relax by the riverside, bathing in the thermal waters and now that pool is being really clean and systametic compare to last 10 years. You then follow the Kali Gandaki valley to Kagbeni, the gateway to the Upper Mustang trekking region and experience an area that used to be part of Tibet. After this you reach Muktinath (meaning God of Nirvana) a place of pilgrimage for Hindus and Buddhists alike. The sacred temples here have 108 waterfalls flowing from dragons mouths and natural gas fires in the monastries. In the summer months there are many festivals here where the local men compete on horseback and demonstrate their riding skills racing through the village streets. From here it is downhill to Jomson, the trek ends here, you can then fly or take a bus to Pokhara.


DAY 01: Drive from Kathmandu (1350) to Pokhara (910m)by bus ,it's  about 6 to 7 hrs drive along trisuli river mostly and Stay over night in pokhara .

DAY 02: Drive from pokhara to Nayapul (1070m) and trek to TikheDhunga/Hille (1595m),This is really pleasent trail along the river and it has also get to see typical houses and people along the way.it takes about  3 to 4 hrs to get Thekhedunga.

DAY 03: Trek to Ghorepani (2850m), it is quite long day  but the trails makes you fit  and it's takes  about 5 to 6 hrs  to Ghorepani through rododendron forest and beutiful scenaries of gree hill and snow cap mountains.

DAY 04: Hike up to Poon Hill (3210m), for sunrise with out back pack and after poonhill get back to the hotel  than decending to Tatopani (1190m), it takes about 5 hrs walking.

DAY 05: Trek to Ghasa (2010m).it takes about 6 hours to Ghasa.

DAY 06: Trek to Tukuche (2590m),this is really nice village and there is  distalary also of apple brandy, because there is  appale garden,it's about 5.30 hrs.

DAY 07: Trek to Kagbeni (2800m), it is the best place and old village to see so many traditions arond ,it takes  5 to6 hours.

DAY 08: Trek to Muktinath (3860m), it is lovely trails because there are so many typical houses of thakali people along the way and they always respect the trekkers saying with namaste(it means hi),it's about 4 hrs to muktinath.

DAY 09: Trek to Jomsom (2750m), it is same way back to jomsom but ion the way back is really beautiful because you get to see so many mounatins included dhaulagiri(8167mtr).

DAY 10: Fly to Pokhara (910m) eraly in the morning because afetr 11 am there is always strong wind.

During the trekking we provide standard  guest house, calm environment and local healthy food  for our guest.


There are so many different taste of food and  international standard restaurants in Kathmandu where you can try your own taste of food and lots of choice. But in the trek mostly we can have Indian, nepali, continental, via menu especially each settlements provides Pasta, momo, soup items, potato item, rice, hot drink, cold drink etc.

What to take with you for trek:

As a guide myself since 14 years I give first priority to cloths which is most important in the cold mountain area. Equipment does matter to make your trek  easy and comfortable. Carrying excessive quantity of trekking equipment doesn’t make your trip more interesting but the disadvantage. So, we request you to carry only selected and recommended iteams and we have our potential porters. Warm Clothes, Down Jacket, Trouser, T-shirt, Hiking Boot, Sunglasses, Sun cream, Knife, Walking Steak, day back pack, Head Light, Sleeping Bag etc. These are the equipment's which you most carry during the trek.


• Liner socks, Trekking shirts short sleeve,

• Thermal underwear, fleece sweaters lightweight,

• one heavier Easy drying long sleeved base layer shirts,

• Woolen blends trekking socks, pair trekking pants with zip off bottoms

Outer layers

• Down vest, wind/rain proof over layer - jacket and pants,

• Peak hat, headband, Warm winter hat, lightweight thermal layer hat,

• Pair gloves, down jacket,

• Pair down booties Great for keeping feet warm in tent and while sleeping and for in the tent. Pair flips flops, it is practice.

Best Season to Trek in Nepal:

Autumn (September - November) and Spring (March - May) is the best trekking season for the trekking and mountaineering in Nepal Because by that time the Weather is mostly clear and temperature is moderate which offers magic view of snow cap mountains and valley each day. Spring Season is such a beautiful time to see many different flowers, plants and rare animals especially Rhododendron flower along the way is the major attraction. Walking and trekking is also very suitable during this season.

Summer (June - August) and winter (December - February). This season provides a different scenic views each hours unpredictable weather ,heavy monsoon rainfall mostly in Annapurna region it is very much clear to trek around Mustang by summer time because of altitude you can skip the rain if you go those areas., so ,Everest, Langtang and Annapurna are always comfortable to trek even in winter season.

Experience & Fitness:

You should be fit enough to make those trekking because it is situated on quite high region however certain training like running, walking, exercising, balance diet all those things definitely will help to make it easily this trek.

Mountain sickness and Acclimatization:

Altitude sickness is a significant risk when trekking on any trails above about 2,500m. However good health,  proper care and drinking plenty of water will definitely help you to prevent from altitude sickness. Every trekkers needs to be familiar with the heights so, for this we have life saving acclimatization days during the trek, peak climbing and expedition. We also provide certain medical support for your relief and emergency rescue through helicopter whenever guest require.
