Island Peak was the name given to the mountain in 1952 by Eric Shipton's who thought it to be reminiscent of an island in a sea of ice. It is also known as "Imja Tse" in Sherpa Name. It takes just 3 to 4 days from Dingbuche village to go there on top of island peak and back to Dingbuche with a climbing guide. This is one of the adventurous treks include climb island peak.

This is twin in one trek cause is same time you are able to get the Everest base camp which is 5360mtr and of course island peak for fulfilling your strong desire to be on top of island peak and island peak is not that difficult compared to another mountain in Everest region .the itinerary can change cause there is much alternative trekking route.

DAY 3: Fly to Lukla (2860mtr) in the morning, and trek to Phakding Village,

It’s about 3 hrs walking along the Dhud Koshi river this is really easy and beautiful day because the walking routes go smoothly through Sherpa village and the trail is gradually down to Phakding. It is the short walking day but the population of local people between Lukla and Phakding is relatively more than other settlements in Khumbu region that means you get to know so many things culture, farming, local life, massif mountains and beautiful rolling green hills around.

Phakding is a popular settlement for trekkers where we can have so many tea houses and lodges at the bank or river.

DAY 4: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar(3450m)

Trek to Namche(3450mtr), It’s about 5 hours walking through some suspension bridge and pine forest, so day 2nd is also interesting day because this day you can see the top of the world just 1 hour before you reach to Namche Bazaar and overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar is the best cozy mountain city where we can get almost everything and locate on the side of massif mountains. once you reach Namche you have already paradise view of Mt. Kongde, Kushumkhag and mandu other peaks including Mt. Everest. If you need to change your money or need use ATM machine there is available those services and also some cafe and BaKery.

Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Mt. Lhotse and Mt Everest. After reaching Kyanjum, a We will follow the small straight path up to Mongdanda which is pleasant trail too in an open area and clear view surroundings. we will have lunch at mong Danada than the trail leads us to steep down the hill at Phortse Thanga than follow the trails going up to dole through the rhododendron forest but it will be steep up walk till we reach at Dole. it is a small village with about 10 tea house/lodges.

This is the easy walking day so we can leave not that early like other days because we just walk about 3 hours following the easy path Via Luza and Lafuma. it is an easy gradual path and over the tree line area so the view of Mt. Cho-yo will be very close and clear each step you go further up towards machismo. we just walk 3 hours today because of the altitude limitation for our safety. it is also a small area where we can stay in the lodge.

DAY 7: Trek to Gokyo (4750mtr),

It is also easy walking because there is no climbing or steps along the way only gradual up which is not so hard only we need to be slow and need to keep same speed to acclimatize the body with that environments and altitudes, after reaching Gokyo valley you can visit massif glacier beside the Gokyo hotels and big lakes just in front of the hotel and mountains, so it is really stunning place for food, view, accommodations for all its beautiful place. Overnight at Gokyo.

Our journey to Dzogla today will be the hardest day but will be one of the best days to see the close-up view of the vast Himalayan terrain. we begin our walk very early about 4.30 am because if we start to walk after 7, or 8 am it will be more difficult for us to cross the pass because the time we reach the top of cola there will be sunshine already and snow gets melt that will be dangerous and sleepy. our 4 hours walk from Thangnak to the top of cholera will be mostly steep than we head down to Dzogla through some ice on top of cola and rocky pathway down to the valley of Dzogla. they will not be a place to eat our lunch today between Dzogla and Thagnak so we could carry some dry food, pack lunch and enough water with us. when we reach Dzogla we take our lunch then walk down to Thukla about 1 and half hour walk.overnightt at Dhukla.

DAY 10: Trek from Thukla to Chhukung( 4700 meters),

DAY 14:  Trek to Lukla(2860m)

Today is our final walking day in Khumbu region for this time. we follow the same way we took way up to Namche. it will be quite long walking day about 7 hours but it will be easy walking because we are already under tree line area,m we have enough oxygen, and there are plenty of foods to buy each 5-minute walking interval. once we reach Lukla we have a big celebration with all trekking team, especially with porters.
