The Mardi Himal trekking is a newly opened beautiful hidden path trails to Mardi Himal base camp and Mardi himal (5555 meters).it is to the Midwest of Nepal in Annapurna region and there are few alterative trekking routes and different perspective to see the view of Annapurna range and mt. Fishtail.Mardi Himal peak lies about 20 km in Distance from  Pokhara and to te east of Modi river.

Mardi Himal trekking starts from few different places but mostly it starts from Mardi pool and ending at the Ghachok there are so many interesting things along the way of mard himal trekking such as bamboo forest, Rhododendron, Oak, Gurung ethnicity village  as it is really beautiful area than the trails ascend to the high alpine area.

Mardi Himal
has sveral base camps but the Lower base camp is one of the best point to see Machhapuchhre( 6993 meters) and this place probably the best view ponit to see Mt.Machhapuchhre anywhere in Nepal because the view in a day time sunrise, sunset all you can explore from the low camp after low camp you can visit Mardi himal base camp where you get to see all Annapurna range. 

Freelance /independent trekking guide must be your best choice to make Mard himal trekking because it is newly opened and also for your safty it is beter to hire a freelance experienced treking guide. 


DAY 01: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara  by Tourist standard bus , it takes approximate 7 to 8 hours including breakfast and lunch Break. But if you want you can fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara,  It takes only 28 minute and also you get to see all Annapurna range and Manasalu mountains from the plane. Overnight Pokhara hotel

DAY 02: Early in the morning you can get breakfast from the hotel which s included in your accommodation and Drive to Kande about 40 minute and trek to Australian Camp (2060m) takes about 2 hours.

DAY 03: After taking a breakfast in Australian camp the trails ascending to Forest Camp (2,500m), it takes approximately 4 hours through the beautiful forest. Overnight at Forest camp.

DAY 04: Trekking  from Forest Camp to Low Camp (2990m) takes about 3 hours but I s really quite and pleasant day because the rails is easy and also the stone made trails, Rhododendron  forest  ,view of mt Machhapuchhre and Annapurna.

DAY 05: Trekking from Low Camp to High Camp (3,580) , this is one of the best and highlight of the trip because the view of Annapurna south and Machhapuchhre is just stunning and close view comparatively in other parts of trekking trails. (Fishtail) takes about 4 hours.

DAY 06: Trekking from High Camp to Mardi Himal West Base Camp/Upper View point (4,450m), this is also beautiful view point to explore all Annapurna range ad Mt Fishtail. When you are there at the top view point you can see everything beauty of Annapurna,.

DAY 07: Trekking from High Camp to Siding Village (1,885m) through Mardi Himal South Base camp it takes about 8 hours a bit long but it is safe and easy descending trails, you just need to be slow and keep your same pace which is important when you  are going down.

DAY 08: Trek from Ghalel to Dhampus (1650m) takes about 6 to 7 hours, this day you can see all Pokhara valley, and still you have view of Mt. fishtail Annapurna, and also 7th highest mountain DHAUAGIRI (8167 meters). Over night at Dhampus  village.

DAY 09: Easy Trekking from Dhampus down to Phedi or Ghattekkhola for about 2 hours  through some typical Nepali house terrace field  and farming along the way and then drive back to Pokhara takes about half an hour 18 km. Overnight in Pokhara.

DAY 11: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes about 7 to 8 hours including breakfast and lunch time by tourist standard Bus.

DAY 12: Final departure day , Our staff will drop you from your hotel to the Airport.

Essential Infos

Accommodation in the mountain during your trek:

Rooms are based on 2 people generally sharing a twin bed in one room, it is safe and clean but you have to use bathroom services outside of your room.

It is really important that you have to understand that the accommodation during your trekking  will be very basic but clean  and safe.    

Which Months is the best to go to the mountain?

There are two main trekking season Sep. to Dec. and Feb 15 to April is the best because by that time you can easily explore beautiful mountain every day because of clear weather each day in Nepal ,However you can make your trip all year .around Nepal.

Fitness level and altitude:

The altitude of 3210 meter and the trek duration of 7 days make the Ghorepani poon hill classified as a short, sweet and best trekking route in Nepal. The trails generally ascending and descending both but it is safe and beautiful scenic view from each settlement.

So, you will sleep one night at 2850 meters which is Ghorepani therefore you don’t get altitude sickness generally and enough oxygen each day.

As a Himalaya guide we recommend that all trekkers exercise 2 to 3 times a week before you start your trek back home and also it’s better to avoid smoking habit if you are in it and drinking habit if you drink too much, so our porters will be carrying your big bags which means you will have your light bag.

The altitude of 4130m and the trekking duration of 12 days make the Annapurna Base Camp Trek classified as strenuous difficulty. The trek ascends very gradually when compared to all of our long treks and you only spend 1 night above 4000m. You are therefore much less likely to suffer from any altitude sickness related symptoms than the Langtang, Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Circuit.
