Overview

The Mardi Himal trekking is a newly opened beautiful hidden path trails to Mardi Himal base camp and Mardi himal (5555 meters).it is to the Midwest of Nepal in Annapurna region and there are few alterative trekking routes and different perspective to see the view of Annapurna range and mt. Fishtail.Mardi Himal peak lies about 20 km in Distance from  Pokhara and to te east of Modi river.

Mardi Himal trekking starts from few different places but mostly it starts from Mardi pool and ending at the Ghachok there are so many interesting things along the way of mard himal trekking such as bamboo forest, Rhododendron, Oak, Gurung ethnicity village  as it is really beautiful area than the trails ascend to the high alpine area.

Mardi Himal
has sveral base camps but the Lower base camp is one of the best point to see Machhapuchhre( 6993 meters) and this place probably the best view ponit to see Mt.Machhapuchhre anywhere in Nepal because the view in a day time sunrise, sunset all you can explore from the low camp after low camp you can visit Mardi himal base camp where you get to see all Annapurna range. 

Freelance /independent trekking guide must be your best choice to make Mard himal trekking because it is newly opened and also for your safty it is beter to hire a freelance experienced treking guide. 

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Kathmandu-30 minute drive to your hotel.

I will be in Kathmandu airport when you arrive there with your name on paper or board which helps to catch you easily in the airport than I will drop you to your hotel. Once you are refreshed at the hotel I will like to meet you again for trip remind and preparation.

DAY 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara- 7 hrs drive

After we have breakfast we will go to Kantipath, Jamal by taxi or Rikshow(3 wheel cycle),The bus leave at 7 am and continue drive to Pokhara with two time stop for food along the way. First break will be at Malekhu and 2nd break will be at Ghasikuwa than Pokhara tourist bus station at Lakeside. The drive will be very smooth and relaxing with scenic view and wonderful landscapes.

DAY 03: Drive to Kande and trek to Australian Camp-3 hrs Walk

Early in the morning you can get breakfast from the hotel which is included in your accommodation and Drive to Kande about 40 minute and trek to Australian Camp (2060m) takes about 2 to 3 hours. Overnight stay at Australian camp which is situated at over 2000m high and we can have Panorama of Annapurna mountains.

DAY 04: Trek to Forest Camp (2500m).

After taking a breakfast in Australian camp the trails ascending to Forest Camp (2,500m), However this day we will have perfect walking distance and majestic view of Annapurna and fishtail mountain each of our steps towards forest camp. The trail is stone made steps in the forest most of the time through Deurali than continue to forest camp. Over night at Forest camp.

DAY 05: Trek form forest camp to low camp (2990m) - 3hrs walking

We begin our walk in the morning after we have breakfast in the lodge than we walk in to the forest again. The trail will be slightly steps through the forest of Rhododendron and oak trees. Over night at Low camp tea house.

DAY 05: Trekking from Low Camp to High Camp (3,580) -4hrs walk

This is one of the best and highlight of the trip because the view of Annapurna south and Machhapuchhre is just stunning and close view comparatively. The trail is quite narrow to walk but it is unbelievable views of all Annapurna area mountains however this day we will get such a panorama view and spectacular valley view. Overnight  in tea house.

DAY 06: Trekking from High Camp to Mardi Himal West Base Camp/Upper View point (4,450m),

We begin our walk after we have breakfast in the tea house it is also one of the best day of this trip because we will have view of all Annapurna range including Machhapuchhre(fishtail) and we get experience of high area walk and beautiful Mardi Himal base camp and  lovely view.

DAY 07: Trekking to Siding Village (1,885m) through Mardi Himal South Base camp- 8 hrs walk

This is our day to go back after we have wonderful views of high Himalaya to siding village. We decent a lot this day about 2565 meter so we should walk slow and need to save energy for long day. We will pass forest, landscapes and field most of the time on a stone made steps. Over night at sidding village. 

DAY 08: Trek to Lumre and drive to Pokhara.

We start our journey again after breakfast in the lodges. We will follow the small trail and wonderful mardi valley and crystal clear river. We will walk about 3 to 4 hours in this scenario than we reach at Lumre it is where we will have our transport back to Pokhara takes 2 hours. Overnight in Pokhara hotel

DAY 09: Drive to Kathmandu in the morning.

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu takes about 7 to 8 hours including breakfast and lunch time by tourist standard Bus.

DAY 10:Final departure day.

Our airport representative will drop you from your hotel to the Airport on time.

What is the price for Everest trekking?

There are so many different trekking and travel company who organize all trekking and touring activities in Nepal and they have their own strategy and price but the fact of the trek is the same so if you are in Nepal to make Everest base camp trekking and if you are alone it cost comparatively more than groups, in general for solo trekkers Kathmandu to Kathmandu 12 days Everest base camp trek cost 1299 USD and if you are two person going there cost 1199 USD. If you are budget travelers still you can save some money with this cost but this price is just enough to do all activities during your 12 days time up to the mountain. I you have more than 8 people in your group one get free trip while you are in Nepal except your domestic flights.

What is the maximum weight for porter in Nepal?

Nepal tourism board published some rules and regulation for porters who used to work generally with tourist they carry 25 kg , so in general you will get one porter for two trekkers it means one trekkers need to make their weight about 12.5 kg and if you have extra cloths, or any extra things that you brought from your country you can leave in hotel locker in Kathmandu once you are back you will get it, it is safe.

What  is the maximum weight can I take to Lukla in a plane?

Flying to Lukla we will be ina small plane whereas just 14  to 16 people in one plane it is small this is why there is short of strict rules need to be just 15 kg per person as a luggage and small day bags as a hand carry you can take with you. if you have any extra thiongs in your bag you can leave in Kathmandu hotel before you leave than it helps a lot to repack and to follow the rules. Still after repacking your bag have more than 15 kg you have to pay 5 USD per kg than you can fly in or out.

How much to I need to tip fir guide and porter?

Tipping things is not a compulsory but it is highly expected from field staff during your trek in Nepal such as, waiter Driver, Guide  porters. Mainly if you are in Nepal and doing more than week trip with guide or with porter you can tip about 100 USD for guide and 80 USD for porter but if they make your especial trip with lots of information take caring and you feel safe all the time with them than you can add more tip on top of that.
