Short Island peak climbing trip's itinerary can be expended beyond Chola and Gokyo or just Everest base camp, so on your request and time you have we recoomend to you what is best to do and costomize the trip As per your interest.
Day 1: Arrival in kathmandu airport. pick up you and transfer to your hotel by private vechicle.
Day 2: Fly to lukla(2860M) and trek to Phkading village(2660M). over night in pahakding village.
Day 3: Trek to Namche(3450M), it is beautiful day we walking through fine Forest, River, Suspension Bridges and first eye contract with mt everest before you reach to Namche.it is about 6 hours walking. over night in Namche Bazar.
Day 4: Rest day in namche bazaar,
Day 5: Trek to Tangbuche(3890m), It is about 5 hours walking passing some sherpa house, majestric view of Amadablam and Thamsherku including Everest. over night in Tangbuche.
Day 6: Trek to Dingbuhe(4360m), It is also about 5 hours walking but the landscape will be even easier to walk only you need to walk slower cause of altitude. over night in Dingbuche hotel.
Day 7; Acclimatizing day and Peak prepaartion,
Day 8; Trek to Island peak base camp with climbing guide and helper. over night in Island peak base camp.
Day 9: You will get general climing idea and raining from your climbing Guide and about mid night you start to climb and in the morning around 7 am you are already back to bas camp. and head down to Chhukung or dingbuche it depents how tired you are. It is also your farewell dinner night with your climing guide and he expect also tip after doing that adventure.
Day 10: Trek to Namche Bazar, it si about 7 hours easy walking mostly decendingand relief walk back to namche where you ca get drink, bar, coffee and many new friends aorund. over night in Namche bazzar.
Day 11: Trek to Lukla t is the same way what you took way up and it's about 7 hours walking and your final adventure day of your trip so by the evening time your guide and poretrs will expect good tip atlist 10 % of totle and farewell dinner.
Day 12: Fly back to Kathamndu in the morning and transfer yut o your hotel.
Day 13: Departure day or if yu want you stay some time as per your interst but give you drop services when ever you ready to leave.
1. Mountain Accommodation:
Rooms are based on 2 people generally sharing a twin bed in one room, it is safe and clean but you have to use bathroom services outside of your room.
It is really important that you have to understand that the accommodation during your trekking will be very basic but clean and safe.
2. Best months in a year to trek?
There are two main trekking seasons Sep. to Dec. and Feb 15 to April is the best because by that time you can easily explore beautiful mountain every day because of clear weather each day in Nepal, However you can make your trip all year .around Nepal.
3. Food in the mountain
When we start our trek in the mountain, we can have typical Nepalese foods and also continental, Tibetan, Italian, Indian so on it means each settlements serve you many different foods on your choice and the foods are fresh and organic most of the places.
When you arrive in Kathmandu you can have breakfast at your hotel and when you are in trekking you will get breakfast, lunch and dinner from the hotel menu each settlements so as a guide since 13 years I suggest you to have vegetable foods most during your trek in the mountain and also less friend food will helps you a lot to be strong to walk each day.
4. Physical Condition & Experience Requirements:
Mount Everest Base Camp Trek is a moderate trek suitable for passionate walkers who have the ability to walk at least 4-7 hours a day with a light rucksack. In some days we might even need to walk for 7 to 8 hours. Walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding than walking in the lower altitudes; however, if we are in excellent health with average physical fitness, have a positive attitude and strong determination, we can accomplish the trek successfully. Exercising and jogging regularly for some weeks prior to the trip is good idea to enhance our strength and stability. Past hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skill is required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Himalayan Glacier before booking the trek. We also recommend that you consult your doctor(s) before the trip
5. What is altitude sickness?
Mountain high altitude sickness occurs when you cannot get enough oxygen while you are in high region over 3000 meters basically. The main symptoms of mountain sickness are headache, lack of sleep, you don’t really feel hungry, nausea, dizziness, if you are in critical situation you might get some blood bleeding from your nose and your cough will be really dry.
When some people who are not used to high altitude and if he/she go fast from low altitude, in that case you might get altitude sickness easily because your body can’t exit rapidly that high so quick. So for altitude sickness can be the descending a main medicine and warm drinking water helps you a lot as well as you need to keep your warm body and drink as much as possible that helps a lot.
