Overview

The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is also known as the  Annapurna Panorama Trek. However, The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is the easier Trail. It is suitable for Family with Children, older person and all those Who are not as fit as they want to be. Non the less, The view is just as great as on the Annapurna Panorama Trek. You will see some of the most Famous Peaks, Which will give you a lasting impression. 

This two-week trip is particularly enjoyable if you go with good Friends or somebody else close to you. A great Adventure Where you also can explore the north of Pokhara, also known as the central part of Nepal. 

This short Himalayan experience introduces you to the diverse Lifestyles and Traditions which you find throughout Nepal. You will meet among others the Tamang, Buddhists and Thakali people Who reside in this area for hundreds of years. You also get a great view of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna 1(8091Mtr) the highest point in the Himalayas. 

Other Peaks you get to see are the Annapurna1(8091m), Dhaulagiri(8167m) Machapuchare (6993m), Manaslu (8157m). All of them belong to the major Peaks of the Area, waiting to be Discovered by you. You can view them while you are Hiking through the ever-changing terrain. 

On the way, we will visit the Gurung Museum, which will show you the Cultural Magnificence of the region. Very insightful and Educational. The exciting way to the Museum leads through a red and fragrant Rhododendron flower Forest. Along the way, you will see other Mountains, and from Poon Hill, you get to see the world’s deepest Kali Gandaki Gorge. 

Further, the Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek will lead you through the beautiful Villages of Ghandruk. People call it the Photographer’s Heaven. Therefore, don’t forget your camera. The maximum altitude of this Trek is at 3210m, obviously, everybody, even not as fit can easily, make it through this Trek. The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek offers among others a Tea House. It is known for its Famous lookouts in the World. Before we come to the end of the route in Birethanti, We will pass Waterfall and creeks as well as enticing Rural Settlements. 

Thus, The Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek to Annapurna is less difficult than other Treks such as Annapurna Circuit trek, Everest base camp, Gokyo & Manaslu trekking but nothing less Exciting. This Trek is best done in springtime

Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1350 Mtr),

I will be waiting for you at Airport with your Name on Signboard than I will transfer to your Hotel. When you get into the hotel I let you rest and refresh than We can meet again for the briefing about your trek.payment and Trek preparation. 

DAY 2: Drive to Pokhara by Bus,

After breakfast in your Hotel, your Guide will take you to the bus station Kantipath Which is close from Thamel as an option if you want to walk to Bus station, it is about 10 to 15 minute. The Bus leaves at 7 am from Kantipath and the Beautiful scenic Drive takes about 7 to 8 hours via Prithibhi Highway to Pokhara. The bus will be stopped twice a time for lunch and Breakfast, if you did not have food in the morning at your Kathmandu Hotel, you can have on the way to Pokhara too. When you reach in Pokhara you just check in to the Hotel which is reserved Hotel and get refresh and explore Pokhara lakeside area with your Guide or your self around evening time is nicer.

DAY 3: Drive to Nayapul than trek to Thikhedunga  (1560 m),

When you finish your Breakfast than you will get private transport to Nayapul, It is about 1.30 minute Drive than you will start your Trek from Nayapul. It is your first day of your Trek and the trails go beyond the Modi Khola and green beautiful Valley. the scenic view, Beautiful local Village, Waterfalls, Paddy field and many other high Green Mountains. After crossing some Bridges and Terrace field the trails lead you to the beautiful Gurung Village at Hille, Thikhedunga. you will spend your first night at Thikhedunga.

DAY 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2820 m)

After taking Breakfast at Thikhedunga we start to walk up to Ulleri Village Which is about 2 hours steeply up Hill to the top of Ulleri via local House, and many musical and Donkeys along the way supplying the goods for Upper part of the Trekking Region. quite and a scenic view beyond the Walking route are common things. When you pass Banthati, Nangethati you will reach to Ghorepani After 6 hours Walks, get into the Hotel and refresh for Dinner time at same Lodge. 

DAY 5: Trek to Tadapani (2660 m) After sunrise at Poon Hill (3210 m)

This day We have to weak up early in the morning comparatively than other days to see the awesome Sunrise view from Poon Hill. The Poon hill walking in the Morning takes about 45 to 1 hour from Ghorepani Where we don’t take our Bag pack only day Bag and water is enough to go, It helps you to walk faster when you are going up to Poon Hill. When the sun shines over the Valley to the South of Poon hill the Golden Sun raise comes to the tip top of Dhaulagiri(8167m), Annapurna south97219m) and other many unparallel magnificent snow cap Mountain views. After Poon hill, we all get back to a hotel in Ghorepani take a Breakfast and we start to walk to the top of the other side of the hill on the ridge there are Bamboo and pine trees. After crossing those ridges the trails leads you down to Deurali village where you have a cup of Tea before you take lunch at Banthati when you have your perfect Mountain lunch than trail gradually goes through the tall Rhododendron forest and you will reach to Tadapani after 1 hour further walk. You going to sleep that night at Tadapani.

DAY 6: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1850 m)

It is one of the easy and short days to walk. Between Tadapani and Ghardruk village, there are mostly Forest, Waterfalls, Wild Animals such as Sported Deer, Musk Deer, Black Beer, white languor Monkey and many different small Birds. The trails go down most of the time on the stone made steps through the cool and calm forest of Rhododendron. When you pass 3 hours forest walking you will be already at Ghurun largest Village Ghandruk, which is popular Destination for local  Tourist and foreigner both as it is scenic slop hill and beautiful place. When you are there you can have your Lunch and take a sight trip with your Guide to explore the fact and way of living in a local residency area especially at the side of lower caste people. There are some  Gurung Museum, handcraft and live farming work from the locals all those things will be your different experience in that beautiful Village. Overnight we spent at Ghandruk Lodge.

DAY 7: Trek to Nayapul(1075m) and Drive to Pokhara(945m)

After taking fresh Breakfast in your Hotel you will hike down most of the time through some traditional house, slop down Millet and Paddy field and open Sky around there is no forest which is more pictorials for you after 2 to 3 hours stone steeps down Hill the trail leads you to Syawlibazar which situated at the bank of Modi Khola and the is still continue to Birethanti and Nayapul but after Syawlibazar the trails going to be flat and much easier to walk. Once you reach Nayapul your adventure walk will be finished and you will get your private transport back to Pokhara hotel. You spent your relaxing great night in Pokhara

DAY 8: Tourist standard bus to Kathmandu (1350 m)

The Bus leaves at 7:30 am as We have the plan and deal you should be ready at 7 in your hotel Lobby and with our Guide and Porter you can go to Bus station which is only 10-minute taxi Drive and Bus ride to Kathmandu via the same highway. it takes about 7 hours drive to Kathmandu.

DAY 9: Departure

I will drop you at the TIA Kathmandu Airport by private transport.

What is the maximum weight for a porter in Nepal?

Nepal tourism board published some rules and regulation for porters who used to work generally with tourist they carry 25 kg , so in general you will get one porter for two trekkers it means one trekker need to make their weight about 12.5 kg and if you have extra clothes or any extra things that you bought from your country you can leave in hotel locker in Kathmandu once you are back you will get it, it is safe.

What is the maximum weight can I take to Lukla in a plane?

Flying to Lukla we will be in a small plane whereas just 14  to 16 people in one plane it is small this is why there is short of strict rules need to be just 15 kg per person as a luggage and small day bags as a hand carry you can take with you. if you have any extra throngs in your bag you can leave in Kathmandu hotel before you leave than it helps a lot to repack and to follow the rules. Still, after repacking your bag have more than 15 kg you have to pay 5 USD per kg than you can fly in or out.

How much do I need to Tip for Guide & Porter?

Tipping things is not compulsory but it is highly expected from field staff during your trek in Nepal such as waiter Driver, Guide porters. Mainly if you are in Nepal and doing more than week trip with guide or with porter you can tip about 100 USD for guide and 80 USD for porter but if they make your special trip with lots of information take caring and you feel safe all the time with them than you can add more tip on top of that.
