Royal Annapurna Trekking

The Royal Annapurna Trekking offers spectacular views of the Annapurna Range, the Langtang Range and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain). This is a short trek that follows a trail along the foothills of the Annapurna. Royal Annapurna trekking begins in Pokhara and takes you away from the well-traveled Annapurna routes. Royal Annapurna trekking is a camping trek as the villages have not been spoiled by tourism and so have not built Tea Houses.
This Skyline trek is sometimes called the Royal Annapurna trekking as Britain’s Prince Charles walked it in the 1980s whilst on a visit to meet the Ghurkha soldiers, who had been serving in the British army. The region is populated mainly by the Gurung (Ethnicity) people, who are famed for serving as Ghurkha soldiers. Royal Annapurna Trekking provides many opportunities for meaningful cultural experiences with the diverse mix of people that inhabit this region. The advantage is that this is a quiet, easy route, on wide paths and so it is accessible to most people.

This trek offers a genuine insight into the Nature, Culture, Religion & lifestyle of the people of this Region without the crowds experienced in other trekking areas. Whilst you travel through the rice terraces and forests you are surrounded by snowcapped mountains and Breathtaking views. The trip finally ends at the scenic Begnas Lake which is about 30 km west of Pokhara City where can enjoy a freshly caught fish.
This is an excellent trek for the less experienced walker or someone who is restricted by time as it affords an amazing insight into the Himalayas.
