Annapurna lower loop trek is also known as a Ghorepani-Ghandruk trek. The Annapurna lower loop trek is short and easy trek relatively hen another trekking path in Nepal as it offers magical Himalayan views, the Splendid introduction of wonderful nature, wild animals and Unique Local Customs and culture. This short trek can be offered any time of the year and it is suitable for almost all types of trekkers such as Family trekking group, Students, Aged people, kids, and safe holiday adventure recommend you to make Annapurna lower loop trek which will provide you many unique experiences. The highest elevation we are trekking on this trip is only 3210m (Poonhill) therefore there is no chance of mountain sickness problem for trekkers.

Annapurna lower loop trek begins from Kathmandu after the city tour. We take a bus(7hrs) or flight (25minute) to Pokhara we drive to Nayapul then we begin the trek. We follow the Modi Khola valley the first day of this trek as it is an easy day and a short distance to walk as per our itinerary. The 2nd day to Ghorepani is the relatively difficult day because we have to climb 6 to 7 hours through the forest and the stone made the steep trail. Our 3rd-day walk begins after exploring paradise poon hilltop from where we can see prosperous Ghorepani village, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna south and other more ten peaks. After breakfast at the lodge of Ghorepani, we trek to Tadapani continues to offer the view of High mountains, valley, and clear sky.

Accommodation :

Accommodation during Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is very easily available as there are plenty of tea houses and lodges along the way. There are few categories of Hotels for few years especially at Ghorepani & Ghandruk that in some hotels you can have a very comfortable bed and hot shower inside your room which is good in the mountain but rest of the places there are Clean and cozy Lodges to sleep.

Your rooms will be twin sharing base in one room and sharing bathroom.

Physical fitness: 

Ghorepani Ghandruk trek is a popular easy and short trekking route in Nepal meanings if you are simply fit and positive on a trip then you can make it very easily. We begin to walk in this trek from 1075 m which is Nayapul and The highest point we will visit is called poon hill that is 3210m and the highest point we sleep at 2830 m that is Ghorepani. if you have seasonal trekking gears and simply fit then you can do it.


Meals during your trek is very important parts but no worries in this trek you will get opportunities to taste many different foods, Nepali, Indian, Chinese, Continental, and Italian which is all in the menu in each lodge so on your choice you can order for your breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Expect 25 $  a day for 3 meals and Tea House Accommodation during Ghorepani Ghandruk trek.

In the mountain you should order your dinner before 5 pm if you are trekking in peak season ( Sep-Dec), Because there will many people and only a few workers in the kitchen and we highly recommend you to try fresh vegetable food because the meat items food is not healthy all the time so try not to eat meat items foods.


DAY 1: Drive from Kathmandu (1350m) to Pokhara (900m),

We, begin our day early in the morning after breakfast. we will have a scenic drive from Kantipath to Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus, it is about 7 hours drive through some Local village and rivers.

DAY 2: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul in the morning by car/jeep/van and trek to Thikhedunga (1560m),

we take our breakfast in our hotel then take a private vehicle to Nayapul than we start to walk along the valley to Thikhedunga. today we only walk about 3 Hours through Local villages, rivers, and some suspension bridges. Over Night at Thikhedunga Hille.

DAY 3: Trek from Thikhedunga to Ghorepani (2820 m),

It is the Longest Day to walk. we begin our trek after breakfast in the morning. we follow the small rails going up to Uller villages which is about 2 hours walk till Ulleri which are all steps on a stone made a trail. For 6 hours walking, we can see massif landscapes, snow peaks, local houses, forest and taste of Local foods. the first 2 hours walk will take us to the Ulleri village than we continue to Banthati we probably;y stop there for lunch then we still continue next 1.30-minute walk through the forest then we reach Nangethati, it is a popular stop for Lunch Place. After warm and healthy food we walk up the hill through Rhododendron forest about 1.30m then we reach to Ghorepani where we will stay overnight.

DAY 4: Hike to poon hill the trek to Tadapani(2660m)

We Wake up early in the morning for sunrise view, then back to Ghorepani for breakfast and then descending to Tadapani (2660m). It is about 5 hours walk through the forest and mostly we are walking on a small trail going downhill through Deurali, Banthati then we reach to Tadapni. Tadapani is small settlement has only 6 lodges located to the top of a mountain surrounded by forest. Over Night stay at Tadapani.

DAY 5: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk (1950m),

Today is the shortest day to walk from Tadapani to Ghnadruk it is only 3 hours descending through the forest Ghandruk is a largest Gurung villages where we can visit Gurung Museum, Typical Houses, and farmland. if you weak up the early morning we get to see the panorama view of Mt, Annapurna South, Hiuchuli, and Fishtail. Overnight at Ghandruk.

DAY 6: Trek to Nayapul then drive to Pokhara from Nayapul.

Today is our last walking day of this trip and we are walking in an open area through the terrace field, and local villages. the first 2 hours walking will be very easy and scenic walk till we reach Syulibazaar than catch the big road to Nayapul. it is about 4 hours walking on an open area so if there is sunshine we better to use sun cream or use a small umbrella for the sun. when we reach Nayapul we take a private car, taxi to Pokhara. overnight stay at Pokhara.

Essential Infos

Accommodation during your trek:

Rooms are based on 2 people generally sharing a twin bed in one room, it is safe and clean but you have to use bathroom services outside of your room.

It is really important that you have to understand that the accommodation during your trekking will be very basic but clean and safe.

Best trekking months:

There is two main trekking season Sep. to Dec. and Feb 15 to April is the best because by that time you can easily explore beautiful mountain every day because of clear weather each day in Nepal, However, you can make your trip all around Nepal.

Fitness level and altitude:

The altitude of 3210 meters and the trek duration of 7 days make the Annapurna hiking classified as a short, sweet and best trekking route in Nepal. The trails generally ascending and descending both but it is safe and beautiful scenic view from each settlement.

So, you will sleep one night at 2850 meters which is Ghorepani, therefore, you don’t get altitude sickness generally and enough oxygen each day.

As a Himalaya guide we recommend that all trekkers exercise 2 to 3 times a week before you start your trek back home and also it’s better to avoid smoking habit if you are in it and drinking habit if you drink too much, so our porters will be carrying your big bags which means you will have your light bag.

The altitude of 4130m and the trekking duration of 12 days make the Annapurna Base Camp Trek classified as strenuous difficulty. The trek ascends very gradually when compared to all of our long treks and you only spend 1 night above 4000m. You are therefore much less likely to suffer from any altitude sickness related symptoms than the Langtang, Everest Base Camp Trek or Annapurna Circuit.
